Skewy · the deck · v4 priorities

Every source. One feed.
You make the algorithm.

Reddit, X, the prediction markets and the wires in one place. Reading burns fuel; answering one anonymous question fills it back up. That deal pays for everything.

The problem

Your feed owns you.
You should own it.

Every feed is tuned for someone else's revenue: rage keeps you scrolling, the dials are hidden, and leaving costs you your taste. News readers get the worst of it — toxic platforms are where the news actually breaks.

The deal P0

Reading burns fuel.
Calling it fills the tank.

The feed is free and every story is whole. Payment is one anonymous tap on a question. The fuel bar makes the deal visible, streaks make it a habit, and the aggregate becomes neutral, vote-first research data — the revenue line.

The feed · focus mode P0

One story opens.
The rest wait in line.

The story at your eye line comes into focus: what Reddit and X are saying, the sources, the question. Everything else stays a readable headline. No snap, no tricks — it is scrolling, not a wheel. Vote first; the poll is the reward.

The feed · cards mode P0

News you play,
not just read.

The same stories as a deck. Big readable buttons where the swipe goes, the screen taking colour as you lean, the result popping like a match — your side pink, the room's comments arriving with it. Two modes, one feed, one toggle.

The algorithm P0 · the USP

Open algorithms.
Tuned, trained, saved, shared.

Dials for every source. A tone slider. Topic picks. Reaction training. Save several — "Everything, balanced", "Cat & food posts", "RAGE BAIT" — and switch by mood. Nobody leaves the place where their taste lives.

Generative parameters P0

Say it. The system
builds the control.

Users invent parameters in their own words; the system decides whether that becomes a slider, a switch, a timer or a plain rule. Generative UI, applied to the one thing users actually want to control.

RULE
"no royals" → switch · "less politics" → slider
"stop me after 15 min" → timer
The timer P0 · ships out of the box

A feed that tells you
to stop.

Give your algorithm 15 minutes and it counts down in the header, then stops the feed.

This works against our business model. That is the point — no other feed will ever do it, and trust is the asset everything else here is built on.

Sharing P0 · the growth engine

Everything is
a public link.

a storyskewy.app/s/… — read without an account

How real does
this appear?

Every story carries a score with its reasons one tap away: figure matches the published release; single anonymous source; number contradicts the official data. Shareable as a verdict card.

Map, radio, venue, duel.

The hyperlocal heatmap, press-play news radio, venue check-in with the ambient TV, and best-of-8 duels are all built and live in the locked v3 prototype. v4 narrows to the two things that win: the feed and the algorithm.

Business model

Neutral signal,
honest inventory.

Research data: votes recorded before any crowd signal is shown — the clean panel researchers pay for. Questions are inventory: research first, sponsored cards reported separately. Gems: brands may pay only by giving something 100% free. And no ads follow you — they follow the recipe, on the device.
